When we bought the Tundra flooring there was a discount on all laminate flooring ... ...floor laying kit available from Ikea and is pretty simple to use. You will also need plastic sheeting (also available at Ikea and is called Sparra sheeting) to be laid on concrete floors as a moisture barrier. Over the plastic sheeting, we will also need floor lining (available as Niva at Ikea) to be laid which is useful for levelling the floor, sound absorption and also insulation. Once these two things are put in place, we should lay the Tundra ...

Advantages: Price, hardwearing. Disadvantages: Time consuming to lay.
I purchased Ikea's Tundra laminate flooring because it had a 15year guarantee, was cheaper than B&Q's, and I must say I am pretty impressed by it. It was easy to lay, although a bit time consuming, and also easy to cut with the use of a jigsaw, in fact the only drawback I found was moving all my furniture and trying to stay off it for twelve hours after it had been laid.
I must admit I was sceptical about having this product, with two young children ... ...exactly light footed, but it has been laid for three months now and shows no signs of wear, is easy to clean, just wipe over or hoover. I used board and foam to make a thicker more cushioned underlay, and I feel this helps cushion the laminate from any over heavy footsteps or dropped items, I'm am so impressed I am considering doing the bedrooms as well, all this at a price, that was lots cheaper than carpets and should hopefully last longer.

Advantages: Easy to maintain Disadvantages: Not suitable for Bathrooms
...my Tundra Laminate Floor from Ikea for 2 years now and I have to say that it is the best decision I ever made. It's easy to keep clean and maintain and still looks as good as it did when originally fitted. Tundra flooring has a 15 year guarantee and is very hard wearing. I have two kids and two dogs, I have no stains as I did with my previous scotchguard carpet. Spills are easy to clean up and marks are none existant! I would certainly recommend ...

We ended up at Ikea (Wednesbury) and asked for samples of the Tundra range of flooring - Now we are talking quality stuff here - not your cheap chipboard stuff - solid MDF with a truly hard finish - ideal for these "heavy domestic" uses i had in mind!!!
We also took assurance from Ikeas 90 day money back guarantee regarding the flooring - If i am not 100% happy with it (even after laying it)and i have followed all instructions carefully ... ...it!! - Now thats customer Satisfaction,
Anyway - laying the tuff was a dream , i consider myself quite good at DIY but have never been much good at things involving Wood and straight lines!!
I had no cause to worry - it took no more than three hours total to do my (30'x10') room and it looks great.
No wastage (well , less than 2 pieces)
and my wife is ultra pleased with the easy to maintain finish.
The only problem is that i have now got to ...

Mrs D once wrote a review about IkeaTundra laminate flooring, although she stuck it under my name on Ciao. In those days, she was getting me a name as a bit of a churner, and blow is the depth of opinion which she offered (PS this article also got the most reads I ever received on Ciao!):
