When i read this book, it helped me to understand how it would feel to be a child, whose parent suffers with a mental illness. I thankfully didn't have this problem as a child but because of the way Jacqueline Wilson has written then story, it gets you onto the same wavelength as the young girl Dolphin, and you can begin to understand the situation. I first read this book quite a while ago but i've read it again and again, because i enjoyed it so much! I personally think it's one of Jacqueline Wilson's best books because of the way she's written it, and it's almost as if she is the child. I would recommend this book to anyone as it's an excellent read from a well known and outstanding author!
