    Keeping myself amused on a 9.5-hour flight to Vancouver required headphones, for both music and the in-flight movies. Knowing the set provided by the airline weren't going to be great, I decided I really needed a set of noise-reducing earphones, to block out as much of the engine drone as possible so my not-too-great hearing would actually be able to make sense of the movie dialogue!     Advantages Advantages Cheap, comfortable.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Sound quality poor when volume is high.

    I've had an iPod or an MP3 player for about 6 years now, maybe more. During this time I went through several pairs of iPod headphones before moving on to other brands depending on what is reasonable priced at the time that I need headphones. Some of my headphones have become unusable thanks to loss and several because we have a cat that likes to slice through any wires and basically anything else that she can get her teeth in to. She seems to be attracted to my headphones and my laptop wires also (particularly if they are plugged in) and yet I still find myself forgetting, leaving my ... more
