I wanted a pack of cdr's that would burn easily enough without having to dump a load of them in the process. I actually stumbled on these quite by accident, after my usual TDK brand was out of stock. I thought I would give them a try, and I am glad I did, because they burn at a reasonable speed, and have caused me no problems with either the recording of, or the retrieval of data so far, and I have used a few 50 packs now. In fact I can't recall having to throw any away that wasn't my own mistake.

Imation are very realistic price at around £15 for a spindle pack of 50, or 100 for £30. As there is no saving on the 100 pack, I generally buy 50 at a time. The pack they come in, is excellent for their storage too, with a spindle to keep them on and a nice twist, clear lid that keeps the discs dust and grime free until you need them.

These discs are for one-time recording only, but you can get the re-writable discs too. They are certified to handle recording at up to 48x speeds, for use with a Windows PC or Apple Macintosh computer that has a CDR or CDRW drive installed. They store 700 mb of data and are excellent for those text files, photos and mp3's, with 80 minutes of storage to a disc.

Why would you want to buy a branded name at a much higher cost to yourself, when these are excellent value for money and are just as reliable? Also they offer a lifetime warranty on them,offering to replace any that are faulty. But I have never had to test that yet. I hope I don't need to. All the time they keep making these nice little discs, I will stick with them, and continue to pass the word around to friends about them.

Imation make a full range of recordable and rewritable CD's and DVDs, and are fast becoming one of the world leaders in data storage media. Imation are teaming up with the famous Napster in a deal, and will manufacture and distribute blank CDs and DVDs bearing the Napster name and logo.
