Imation Corp. CD-R 80 min

I'm going to highly recommend this to anyone who's got loads of files on the computer and they are not backed up. Seriously as an ex computing student I understand the importance of backing up files, and also archiving them. When purchasing my new laptop, which was years ago now, there was one important feature to me and that was that it had to be able to write to CD's because if there's one hobby I have, and one thing I love, it's music. Whilst we are in an age of MP3's where CD's don't really matter when CD's do come into play is at parties (can't have everyone crowded around one iPod) and also in cars. I purchased a pack of these as i had many files on my PC to back-up. Seeing as they were reasonably priced,had cases and a well known brand, i thought i'd purchase them to test out. These are recordable CD's which mean that you can only write to them once and then that it is. If you are after Cd's that you can write to more than once then you are after CD-RW's however over time the quality degradeds quite quickly and also the price is a lot more for them. I have burnt more than 200 of these CDs and have not had a single one fail on me!!! I have used them in my 52X drive (burning at 52X always) to burn my data (backup of hard drive) and Video Cds (VCD) and also Audio Cds. All work perfectly 1st time. I can recommend these highly. as these have good jewel cases compared to the old spindel style racks you often get plus there is lots of room also on the inlay cover to write as much as you like. RELIABILITY You will always get the occasional problem when using any CDR. The occasional write error or fail. However I find that I get far less with TDK’s than I do with Verbatim’s or Mr Data’s or unbranded CDR’s. EASE OF USE As easy as any CDR, put it in and select the files you want to write and click the write button. Maybe not as easy as a CDRW since once it’s written the data can’t be taken off, so no second chances. QUALITY These are audio/consumer grade.
