Advantages: Cheap (especially S/H), reliable, durable, common Disadvantages: Capacity, Parallel version is not as portable as USB
...I am the proud owner of a second-hand Zip 100 (external parallel port). Although I did get the software with it, I had to get the latest Win 2000 drivers from the Internet. The reason I bought the Zip drive is because my internal LS120 Superdisk had stopped working after about 30 months usage. The drive is connected between my computer and printer, which makes removal more difficult than the USB version although this is not a problem for me as I rarely use the drive outside my home. Although 100Mb is fairly small these days, it is more than enough for me to store all of my important irreplacable documents on and the media is cheap enough to allow for multiple back-up copies. Zip is convenient for me as most of the machines at my University have a Zip drive, as do many of my colleagues. I have twice dropped the drive on the floor without...

Advantages: good portable storage Disadvantages: bit expensive compared to a cd writer and media
...There's little doubt that the Iomega Zip drive is now the market leader in removable storage devices, ahead of its nearest rivals the LS-120 and Sony's HiFD drives. However the Zip's 100MB of storage has started to seem a little miserly given that the demand for capacity continues to rise - driven in part by the increasing use of graphics, video and sound files on the Internet and company-wide intranets. But the new Zip 250 has leapt ahead of its rivals, offering 250MB of storage, over 50MB more than Sony's HiFD super-floppy drive.
Like its predecessor, the Zip 250 is available in a variety of flavours, both internal and external, and with a choice of interface. The most popular of these will probably turn out to be the external drive, which is currently available with either a parallel port or a SCSI connection to the PC. A USB...

Advantages: Re-Writable CD, 74min record time, 650MB storage Disadvantages: Small storage compared to Re-Writable DVD's
...The Imation CD-RW 650 MB 24x discs are an excellent way to back up or store data at home or at work. I know it's not much storage compared to DVD-RW's but these still come in use as I still use them sometimes myself. As sometimes you don't need 4.7GB that a DVD can hold.
Imation CD-RW rewritable discs have an increased recording speed of 24x and noise free play for a wide range of applications. Even though the CD-RW format requires speed compatible disc burners for recording, the discs can be used in standard CD-R/RW drives as well as Multi-read CD-R/CD-ROM, DVD-ROM and rewritable DVD drives. This is very useful as you may have a drive which can handle more speed which shouldn't have a compatibility issue.
Main features and functions:
- Storage media type CD-RW
- 10 discs
- 650 MB storage
- 74min recording time
- Write Speed: 24x...

My personal experience with the Xbox 360 hard drive has been fairly positive. The ability to store music, films, videos and of course games saves is one that no Xbox gamer should be without. 120 GB of memory is more than enough for the average gamer. The more
