...So, when I saw that Immac had produced some Cold Wax Strips I decided this would be my ideal chance to experiment with the waxing process. DESCRIPTION*******************************************
A pack of Immac Cold Wax Strips contains 12 single sided wax strips and 4 sachets of moisturising wipes. They cost me around £5.00, from my local branch of Bodycare, but prices vary considerably. I have seen them for sale in Boots, Superdrug and Tescos, but ... ...If you haven’t used Immac Strips before, I advise you to try a test area first. Use them on an area that won’t show: That way if you get a bad reaction, if your skin is sensitive, you won’t feel silly if you get a rash.
DO THEY WORK?***************************************
Well, after the slight discomfort and the initial teething troubles, I have to say yes, they do! They did leave a bit of sticky wax on my legs which didn’t wash off. The only ...

Advantages: Smooth hair free legs Disadvantages: Leaves a residue behind, won't come off the carpet
...in my pocket and buy Immac (also known as Veet) wax strips. You get 12 reusable strips (reusable up to 4 times) and they cost £5.99.
The wax is blue and gel like and is quite thick and sticky. The backing paper is soft and very pliable and the strips stick VERY well to the area of choice. There is a little pain but I’ve found this to be the case with all brands of wax strips, except for Boots. The pain only lasts a split second when you rip the ... ...my legs, lucky for me Immac had kindly provided me with 4 sachets of moisturising wipes to remove it. These are very oily and do work but you have to rub quite hard, and you definitely need to have a shower afterwards. It’s a shame they didn’t provide me with a means to get it out of upholstery though. I still haven’t figured out how to get the blob of blue off my carpet from when I accidentally got my wax-covered knee on it - was a bit of a mess.

Advantages: None. Disadvantages: Where do I start?
...minute things and came across Immac Cold Wax Strips. I had a thought. No more dropping my razor in the shower stall and having to ask my neighbour to pass it back. I’d have super-smooth legs, just what I wanted for tanning.
I’d tried Boots' own brand before and they were, to put it bluntly, crap. So I persuaded myself that £5 was a good investment. Oh dear.
You get 12 single sided strips and 4 moisturising wipes for ‘A perfect ... ...follow the directions carefully. I warmed the strips by rubbing them between my fingers for 20 to 45 seconds. I slowly peeled the strips apart, smoothed one of them onto my leg in the direction of the hair growth, and then smoothed it down. I’m ready to pull. But it's stuck!
I panic, these things are like super glue! I try again, pulling a bit harder and it thankfully comes off this time. Unfortunately it has left me with half the wax stuck ...

Advantages: Slow regrowth Disadvantages: Painful and very, very sticky
...Tescos when I noticed the Immac version on special offer so decided to give them a go.
The wax strips come in twos, one stuck to another and you have to peel them apart to seperate them - easier said than done when you're trying to stop the deadly wax from getting everwhere I can tell you. I also found that once you'd seperated them the strip you weren't going to use straight away started to curl up and I had to keep trying to unwind it despite ... ...sticky so once they're on, you know they're gonna hurt when you take them off your skin. On the plus side, this means that they really get rid of the hair but on the flip side they really hurt. I found myself having to work myself up to tear the strip off. I've used other waxing products and have been fine, sure they've smarted a bit but nothing like this! There is plenty of room on the strip for you to get a good hold before you pull the strip back ...

Advantages: The hair doesn't grow back as quickly as it does after shaving Disadvantages: It doesn't remove all the hair on your legs and the pack only contains enough to do a lower-leg wax.
...festival. Out of all the immac products, this was the one which was a)least expensive and b) didn't require a microwave (which I don't have) so for a money-conscious student it seemed perfect. I had my legs waxed professionally for three years so wasn't shy of the pain aspect (if you're wondering why I stopped it's because I couldn't stand being teased at school in the weeks between waxings).
The strips are stuck together in pairs and you have to ... ...proves more difficult than it's worth as the strips crease up and fall out of your hands whilst you're trying to warm then. When they're body temperature, you then smooth one onto your skin and rip it off . This supposed to be done as close to the skin as possible. i think maybe this was half the problem. Waxing is all in the technique and that's something I haven't yet acquired. The other half of the problem was that the wax strips don't work. They ...
