I am blushing as I write this, but if poor Kate on Big Brother can share her embarrassment in front of millions on television, then so can I. You may have seen her lose her 'David Beckham' when she had a little accident with her hair removing cream, I had every sympathy with the poor girl, the same thing happened to me when I used the Immac Bikini Kit. More of that later, no scrolling ;-) lets talk about the product first.
Immac are well known for producing hair removal creams and waxes. I used to buy the cream for removal of my bikini line, which was sold in a tube on its own or in a long box with conditioning skin cream included, but they have revamped this and is now called a Bikini Kit, a box containing all you need to remove that unsightly unwanted hair from, lets face it, one of the most sensitive parts of your body. The new kit, is now housed in a white and blue box and contains, 1 - 50ml plastic tube of Hair Removal cream, 1 -50ml plastic tube of Finishing Cream and a 'perfect touch' spatula.
~ Hair Removing Cream~ It's the Thioglycolic salts (Acid) that weakens the hair just below skin level, sounds scary, but is kind and gentle, Immac has been around for years so they know what they are doing, its specially formulated for your delicate lady areas. Easy to apply, straight onto the area you want to remove the hair from, and smooth over with the spatula, wait 5 minutes, test an area with the spatula, and you should be ready to rinse off with warm water, if not, it's ok to leave the cream on a little longer, but 10 minutes is the maximum they recommend. Please watch the time, keep your eyes on that clock, it could cause your skin to become irritated, I didn't but its best not to risk it, otherwise you could end up a result like poor kate or myself.
~The Spatula~
A curved piece of plastic, shaped to get into all the contours of the area in question, nooks and crannies to you and me. As I said, this is a very handy tool for applying the cream, and testing if your ready for rinse off. I found it helpful to use to remove most of the 'dissolved hair,' it breaks off the hair as you glide it across, despite that description it doesn't hurt one bit, the hair is already dead. The rest should just rinse off easily in the shower/bath, I found it easier with the help of a soft sponge or flannel.
~Conditioning Cream~ This comes in the same size plastic tube as the hair removing cream. It apparently contains ceramides, these condition your skin and help prevent any irritation. It smells quite nice and does work, it left my skin as soft as a babies botty.
I found that it was a good three days before there was any sign of re-growth and the hair doesn't grow back as course as it does with shaving because it has been dissolved.
Depilatory (hair removal) creams can be very smelly, but Immac now seem to have helped solve this problem by adding microcapsuals of fragrance, I found there was still a trace of the yukky odour, but a great improvement.
If you have any concerns over using this product, questions or information you will find everything you need to know about the Bikini Kit and the whole range of hair removal products then pay www.veet.co.uk a visit. I tried www.immac.com and this site was under construction, I then tried the veet address and was taken to Immac.(www,veet.com is for german readers) Immac is about to change it's name to Veet, why do these companies do this? it annoys me, stick to what we know!
O. k, now for the embarrassing bit, <Blush> I feel I must tell you as a warning more than anything.
Take the phone off the hook if your alone when using this, make sure you have 10/15 minutes set aside to do this without any interruptions. I tested a small area with the spatula, I didn't think it had worked sufficiently enough, so I spread some more on, at this point the phone rang, it was a dear friend I hadn't spoken to for ages, she was a little upset and needed a shoulder, being a softy and not wanting to put her off for ten minutes, I SAT DOWN, and listened to her, poor thing, she had quite a tale to get off her chest, so I stayed on the line for a good 20 minutes, then she heard my door bell go in the background and suggested I go answer it and she would call back later. Phew! I stood with my head poking out the door for another five minutes in the bid to convince the guy I do not want my milk delivered, and then rushed off to the bathroom. Oh dear, or dear, it had spread everywhere, I dived in the shower and to my horror the whole lot washed off! Not even a David Beckham, Nope, I resembled a Sphinx cat! I heard on the Graham Norton show that this is a very trendy way to have it, the latest infact, so maybe it wasn't so bad after all, but unless you want the same girls, please take note, follow the instructions on the box to the letter.
Apart from my little mishap I found this worked very well for me, I didn't experience any irritation on that occasion, but I think I was lucky, and would suggest maybe using a little cotton wool or tissue paper to protect any really delicate genitalia area where the cream is not meant for. I have used this Bikini Kit about 5 times now, so its quite cost effective, cheaper and not extremely painful like I found with waxing.
On offer in boots at the moment for £4.79, was £6.29, so save yourself £1.50.
Advantages: The after cream was nice, you get a lot, theres some hope of being smooth painlessly, easy to apply Disadvantages: horrible stubble the next day, doesn't remove all hairs effectively, expensive
I recently bought Immac bikini line cream because i was desperate to find something that worked. It's not that i'm a hairy beast, i just prefer to have my body look that way and well.. waxing was certainly not the answer!
Mom had bought me a sugaring set for my birthday and taking a big breathe i applied it to the offending area and... RIPPPPPPPP.. i almost screamed in pain. I was actually bent over with my eyes screwed up it hurt so much. Looking ... ...a half price sale on Immac and i quickly snapped up some bikini line remover. Rushing home, it sounds kinda pervy but i couldn't wait to use it! The instructions were fairly easy to follow and i used the stopwatch on my mobile to time i didn't go over the specified 5-6 minutes. With the little green spatula provided i smoothed the cream on with the back of it and left it with a thick even layer. One thing i did notice was the smell. Why is it that ...

Advantages: easy to use - smells ok Disadvantages: spreads to more places than you intended
or oh my gawd what have I done I'm going on holiday in a few weeks and decided to sort my bikini line out to avoid any stragglers when I'm modelling my new daring bikini. Usually I shave but I found I suffered from stubble rash last year thanks to shaving + swimming pool + heat. Classy.
I wax my legs but decided I wasn't quite brave enough to try this on more sensitive parts of my body.

In my opinion using a hair removal cream is the only way to tackle the bikini line! You apply the cream and wait for anything up to 10-15 minutes before washing off, which is quite a long time when you are restricted in your movements! However, the results are good and with the moisturising finishing cream your skin is left soft and irritation-free. They state the aroma as "delicately fragranced" but I have to disagree and say that the smell isn't ...

It's the moment every girl dreads. Trying on that brand new bikini in the store and ok everyone has body hang-ups but you notice that over the winter you haven't been as diligent with your hair removal as you should have and well....it looks like a jungle down there. This was my experience anyway so, after buying my bikini i hot-footed it to Boots down the road. I normally try shaving, but I've found that occasionally you can get a rash and waxing ... ...with the array of hair removing products on the shelf I chose Immac. It's a well-known brand so I thought I'd haveno problems with it. I took it home and applied it following all the instructions. My first problem was the smell, although everyone knows it's not going to be pleasant, the rotten egg smell didn't leave my bathroom for 2 days (don't use this product if you're having guests over or you'll get funny looks). Also, the 15 minutes that you ...
