Advantages: very little advantage to this game Disadvantages: to many to say
I Bought this game for my pc, as I am a great fan of strategy games, take for instance command and conquer generals a magnificent game.
If I were to compare Imperialism 2 to the standard setter of battle strategy games I would say it was a poor effort indeed for a number of reasons.
Imperialism 2 is a historical European battle game with the aim of trading and battling to be the supreme nation in Europe.
1. The price, fare enough generals was nearly £30 compared to £9.99p for imperialism and £25 for age of empires.
But in this case you do get what you paid for.
2. The graphics of generals are excellent and to the highest standard of any game or strategy game I know.
Imperialism's graphics are a tad stale, the colours are not realistic and on each individual screen it doesn't do a possible brilliant game justice.
3. Game play ...
Advantages: The whole experience. Disadvantages: My stay was completely disadvantage free!
Regular readers of my reviews will no doubt already know I am a huge fan of Blackpool and that I travel there on a regular basis. Now I am the first to admit that when I visit Blackpool it is more about the place itself than the accommodation and therefore I usually just opt for a very inexpensive B&B but I do on occasions like to treat myself to a luxury break in a hotel and have stayed in the Big Blue hotel that overlooks the Pleasure beach (already reviewed) and also in the Imperial Hotel which is what I am going to tell you a bit about here.
I stayed in the Imperial in late 2004 so I do apologise if there have been changes that I fail to mention in this review but I am assured after talking to friends who I recommended the hotel to and are recently back from their stay that it is every bit as good now as I told them it was then ...
Advantages: Friendly cosy and excellent location. Disadvantages: Building work and only one small lift.
, cheese, fruit, yoghurts, spreads and cold meat. There were no eggs though, unless you ordered them the night before and paid a supplement! The staff were efficient and quick, filling up the plates on the buffet quickly and bringing the drinks (which seemed unlimited).
There is also a cocktail bar in the hotel that opens until midnight ~ there are so many bars in Ostend that open later, so we never actually managed a drink in the hotel! The hotel also offers half and full board in the restaurant, but this is only offered to group bookings. We were offered this when booking, but we wanted the freedom to stay out all day and eat out, so didn't take them up on this service.
~~~OTHER FACILITIES.
The Imperial also has a PC in the lobby and offers wireless internet access for anyone who needs it. The hotel seemed really popular ...
