As you will see from a previous review my usual deodorant is the Tesco Value one, however I recently saw Imperial Leather Original Deodorant in my local Netto, running out of my normal one I thought I would give it a try and so far so good.

The Packaging
Imperial Leather Original Deodorant comes in a slightly curved white bottle with a large red lid. It has a small label on the front of the bottle, again this is mainly in red and white. It has the words Imperial Leather written in the usual red curved oval shape, beneath this is the word Original this is written in gold lettering with a crest behind it. Right at the bottom of the label is written Antiperspirant Deodorant. The back of the bottle has the same white label in it with information such as directions for use and the ingredients, all of this information is written in black lettering nad is very easy to read. The large red lid simply screws on and off and is very easy to remove. The end of the lid is flat which means you can stand the bottle upside down to drain the remainder of the deodorant out. This is a roller ball deodorant, when you remove the lid the ball which applies the deodorant is clear in colour and rotates very smoothly, so far I have not had any problems with it drying out and sticking.

The Deodorant
When I first applied this deodorant I noticed that quite a lot of the liquid came out at once, not so it was running of off you skin but enough to have to wait for it to dry before putting your top on, for first thing in the morning this is not too much of a problem as I can apply it a while before I get dresses giving it plenty of time to dry, however if you were in a bit of a rush wearing this deodorant may not be a good idea as you could end up with white marks under your arms where it has not dried properly. As soon as you smell this deodorant you can tell it is an Imperial Leather product it has that distinctive smell that a lot of their products have. I have to say personally I think it has quite a strong smell to it in the bottle, however once applied this does not appear to be as overpowering. The main question about it really is does it work as an antiperspirant, yes it does. I can apply this product to my underarms in the morning and can honestly say it leaves me feeling and smelling fresh all day. I re-apply the deodorant if I going out in the evening, but for work I do not have the need to re-apply. This product does not actually say that it is suitable for sensitive skin, however in the past I have had a few problems with some deodorants being too strong for me and making the skin under my arms very sore, however so far with Imperial Leather Original I have not had any problems, I wouldn't go as far to say it would be OK for anyone with sensitive skin to use but it has been OK for me so far, I do not think it is the harshest of deodorants.

Price
I bought my Imperial Leather Original Deodorant for just over 70p from my local Netto, however I believe it usually retails at just over £1 however I am not sure of the exact price. For 70p I get a 50ml bottle, personally I find this very long lasting, as you do not need to keep re-applying half a dozen times a day like with some deodorants you use hardly any at one time, I find a bottle of this usually lasts me a couple of months so at 70p it is a real bargain. I think I would even pay full price for this product as it does the job it says it will an lasts a long time.

Directions for Use
Well we all know how to use deodorant, however if the back of the bottle it feels the need to tell you, so it says to use this product you need to shake well prior to use, apply to the under arms and screw the lid back on tightly. So there nothing too complicated really

Warnings
These too are on the back of the bottle, again all common sense really, but the warning they give are this product should not be used on damaged or irritated skin. Now before I said that in the past I had had problems with various deodorants but not with this one, what the manufacture is saying here is if your skin under your arms is already damaged or irritated by possibly another deodorant or for other reasons do not use this product. I am just speaking from personal experience that I do have sensitive skin under my arms but do not have any problems with this particular product, however everyone is different.

Conclusion
I would certainly recommend this product, although it does take a bit of time to dry it does do a good job of keeping me feeling and smelling fresh all day. It really does do what a deodorant is supposed to do. There is no need to keep reapplying and it is very good value for money!!!

Advantages
Keeps you feeling fresh all day
Keeps you smelling good all day
Cheap
Long Lasting
Not harsh on your skin (well mine anyway)

Disadvantages
The drying time, it does take a while and can leave white marks if you do not let it dry for long enough, but this isn't something that would put me off this product.
