Advantages Smells nice, attractive packaging, cheap
Disadvantages Doesn't last long, not a deodorant
Impulse Siren is the latest body spray from Impulse... you've all seen the adverts! All the men disappear from a village, and are enticed back by an attractive blonde who has sprayed herself with Siren. "Another man has gone... another man has gone!" - Now you remember?
The bottle is very attractive, for starters. It is a silver metallic colour, with turquoise ripples around it, which gives it a modern, attractive look. Impulse always make an effort with the packaging and this is no exception, and you won't be embarrassed whipping it out in the changing rooms. It's tall and thin, containing 75ml of the product. It has a twist-cap, so there's no chance of losing the lid.It promises to leave you revitalised, fragranced and gives you a cool, fresh feeling. It is dermatogically tested and is gentle to the skin. So far, so good, eh? The woman who created CKone is the one behind Siren, so you know that it won't be a cheap, nasty smell like some other deodorants.
The spray is quite powerful, so be careful not to spray too much! The smell itself is very nice, although hard to describe - it's light and definitely refreshing. It is quite musky, but is prevented from being heavy by the sweet, fruity overtones to it. It's quite unusual but really pleasant and summery at the same time.I don't use this as a deodorant - I use a roll-on under my armpits in the mornings, and spray this throughout the day to keep myself feeling fresh. The smell doesn't last throughout the day, but then again, it doesn't claim to, so I can't complain! The smell lasts me two hours at the most.
I spray this on my clothes mainly, but I have sprayed it directly onto my skin before and it didn't irritate my skin at all, so I imagine this would be fine on people who have sensitive skin.Erm, girls, don't expect to be chased by hordes of men. I know, it's unrealistic, but a bit more male attention wouldn't have gone amiss! All I got were grunts of 'Ey, you smell nice' from a few guys and a few friends wanting to know what I was wearing. It's better than nothing I suppose, and the logical part of me knew it was silly, but I was still secretly disappointed more people didn't notice. But that's just me - an advertising company's dream!
It also comes in a moisturising body spray for the £1.69 mark, and anti-perspirant version for the same price at Bodycare and Superdrug. The prices of body sprays vary, but this seems to be mid-priced.The ingredients are alcohol denat, butane, isobutane, propane, parfum and isopropyl myrisate. I haven't heard of most of those before, but they might mean something to you! The back of the can also warns you not to use on the face (what kind of half-wit would do that?) and it is not for hygiene use (again, what kind of stupid person...)!
It is made by Lever Faberge, who you can contact on 0800 0852769, or Consumer Care, Lever Faberge Ltd, Freepost, Admail 1000, London, SW1A 2XX.I'm very cautiously giving this four stars. One star has been knocked off because the smell doesn't last and it's not really a deodorant!

Hehe I know what adverts you're on about- if only the spray did have that effect on men! I must say Impulse is THE body spray brand as they are constantly bringing out new scents. I like the I.D. one, but unfortunately it's not on the list!
