Remote Remote

Advantages: Good Features. Well Made
Disadvantages: A little expensive

As mentioned in my review of the Wii Nunchuck I have had my Wii for a few weeks but haven?t had chance to review it so am starting with the peripherals. The Wii uses wireless controllers (it was the first games console to do this) that communicate with the main console via bluetooth. Unfortunately the Wii only comes with a single controller and as the main fun with the Wii comes from playing against friends and family I immediately purchased a second controller for £29.99 (it is hard to find them cheap anywhere on line or the high street). The controller is white plastic (the same as the Wii itself) styled like a small TV remote and is solidly made and feels even more so when the 2 AA batteries are put in. Wii Remote

Advantages: Great product, allows for playability
Disadvantages: None

buttons, for example when you take a stroke on the tennis game, but with others you do need to press the buttons on the Wii remote. On the top of the Wii remote you will find up, down, left and right buttons which will move you character in these directions. There is also an A button which is the main button for most of the commands you make. Underneath the Wii remote is the B button which is shaped like a trigger button and is used quite a lot with target and shooting games. What I love about the remote is that the buttons are really easy to locate for any hand size and easy to press. You always remember where they are and they are well labelled if you do forget. The Wii remote is not very heavy either, in fact it's quite light and so is easy to hold for both kids and adults alike. The Wii remote also has a speaker on it which allows ...

Review of Nintendo Wii Remote

Wii Remote Controller

Advantages: Innovation, Responsiveness
Disadvantages: Price, Ease Of Use

I purchased the Nintendo Wii after weeks of searching the internet for a shop that hadnt sold out and once i found one available i bought it immediately. The package came with Wii sports and a remote controller and i have to say that i was quite impressed. The controllers work well with the console and in particular with wii sports. The biggest issue that i have with the remote is the battery issue. Whilst the batteries do last a long time when installed, to keep replacing them costs a fortune. I also have had this problem with my xbox 360 wireless controllers and would recommend anybody who was buying the controllers to also consider a quick charge kit to accompany it. The unit is very responsive and works very well, this depends on where you put the sensor that is supplied with the wii so make sure that you read the manual carefully ...
