Advantages: Cheap for the level of resolution
Disadvantages: Poor customer and aftersales - not a home cinema projector

...The Infocus IN26XGA looked a good spec for the money. First disappointment was the input sockets. The information provided implied the projector had video ‘component’ connections but the RGB connection is only via the RS 232 (VESA) port, which can be done via an adaptor/accessory but this is not provided. Also you have to have a ‘component’ connection to achieve the higher levels of resolution the projector has, otherwise it is pointless paying for the extra picture resolution. There was no manual provided and information on the CD provided was scant. This may not have been a problem but the projector only produced very small scale pictures and it was not clear if this was by design or because the zoom was not working. Advantages: Reliable, good picture quality, easy to use
Disadvantages: Starting to show its age!

...The Infocus Lite Pro 425 is a LCD projector designed to display computer images onto a screen or wall. Its compact size shows that it has been built with portability in mind. This projector was purchased about 3 years ago by the company I work for. The projector cost about £1400 and at the time and it was a pretty high specification machine. The projector can display a maximum computer resolution of 800x600 and this is in 24bit colour. Although this is still acceptable, the resolution is perhaps a little low by today’s standards. Advantages: compact, easy to use, good screen, great organiser
Disadvantages: not much RAM, can easily be mislaid

...I love my little WorkPad c3. I have a Dell laptop which I use for porting mainly word processing and spreadsheets between home and school but I have found it rather cumbersome and very ‘visible’ so I decided to go for a handheld model which I could slip unobtrusively into my bag like a calculator. At approximately 12cm x 8 cm and weighing in at only four ounces the WorkPad c3 was ideal (once I’d removed my make up bag!). I also use it for e-mail and as personal address book and organiser. I think that I'd be lost without it now. As I’m not into games or web surfing I didn’t mind that it didn’t have a colour display but some might find this a drawback.
