...The In focus LP640 Projector is brilliant. I purchased the product a year ago and it has never given me any problems that includes setting it up. It can be used with any movie playing technology e.g, Camcorders, DVD players, Laptops, Consoles etc. i personally use it to watch movies and play playstation 2,3 games on it. All in all it's a really good product in my opinion and if anyone is looking for a good projector for personal use i would definitely recommend this product. If you want a good tip to go with the product its a surround system of any type then you will have your own cinema in your own bedroom with bed side seat VIP. Playing football games is the best because its as if you are ina real stadium it boosts your game play up and the fans sound great.... Read review

Advantages: Cheap for the level of resolution
Disadvantages: Poor customer and aftersales - not a home cinema projector

...The Infocus IN26XGA looked a good spec for the money. First disappointment was the input sockets. The information provided implied the projector had video ‘component’ connections but the RGB connection is only via the RS 232 (VESA) port, which can be done via an adaptor/accessory but this is not provided. Also you have to have a ‘component’ connection to achieve the higher levels of resolution the projector has, otherwise it is pointless paying for the extra picture resolution. There was no manual provided and information on the CD provided was scant. This may not have been a problem but the projector only produced very small scale pictures and it was not clear if this was by design or because the zoom was not working. The InFocus web site was also of no help and just added to the disappointment, particularly as it was not clear how... Read review

Advantages: Simple to use, long lamp life
Disadvantages: Quite noisy fan, regular filter cleaning needed

...The X3 projector is a great projector for family use, especially for DVDs and home cinema. The lamp use is excellent but I had to be careful to always wash the filter to maximise the lamp life as lamps are very expensive. In my opinion, the X3 is very easy to use, and has easy installation onto any surface (even a wall) for projection with little space needed. The main concern when I bought this projector was whether it would be of good quality, and it has the standards needed for any video requirements. I wouldn't recommend this to gamers as such as it isn't as good for gaming systems, but still works fine. However, the use of it with a PC or Laptop is great, especially when you are wanting to use your desktop, video conference or simply view the screen.... Read review
