Advantages: bargin price Disadvantages: I have no problems
I chose these speakers because they were so cheap at £20 for the pair. Sony 6x9s are about £80.
I bought them from mail order form TFG audio. The postage was and extra £6. Unfortunatley I had to return them twice because the tweater bracket had broken either on one or both. The third time of asking I got them unscathed. Compared to the speakers I had in the car, ie the factory standards they were a breath of fresh air a good bass and treble, but maybe their cheapness would have been exposed by a better head unit. The thing to do with 6x9s is get a wooden parcel shelf because they are too heavy for the plastic and will make it rattle. ...

I've now been using these speakers for a few months now. I brought them in the Fusion 4 corner package, which contained an amplifier (EN AM6004) and a set of component speakers (En-CM525) and a wiring kit.
The 6x9 speakers are currently in the boot of my corsa, in a box which I made and are being ran off the amplifier along with the components. I did originally just wire the 6x9's up to my head unit which is the Inphase IPS920SD and this has a max power output of 4x60rms. The head unit alone provided more than enought power for the speakers to run resonably well and the sound coming from them was fairly loud and quite bassy. I would however reconmend that if you wanted to get the most out of these speakers you should hook them up to an amplifier of some description.
The build quality of the speakers is rather good in my opinion ...
