My little toy!! Advantages: impressive, excellent features Disadvantages: quite expensive but well worth it! ...came across this little beauty...the Kenwood KVT M707 DVD Player. Firstly I can't comment on the installation procedure of this product as this was done by someone else, but i was very impressed when i first turned it on! For starters, it has a lovely sliding mechanism operated by a single button, after which you are presented with your main screen. There are a few options, Standby, Tuner, DVD, Video etc - all very self explanatory. The whole system ... ...that you can purchase the Kenwood Satellite Navigation, which I have done so and this operates amazingly! A really good way to incorporate radio, cd and sat nav which looks very impressive on the big screen! inCarDVD - thats right! DVD's...in your CAR! Advantages: reliable and good quality Disadvantages: expensive and the magic wears off! hehehe The Sony Xplod is a lovely little gadget in its own rights. It was one of the first in car players and i can remember thinking it was so cool to have one in my dads car. It is reliable. Suprisingly, it doesnt skip or jump at all. The screen is pretty decent. Sometimes the sun outside can prevent you from seeing the screen clearly but we got hold of those shade things you can put on your windon. Little did i know, the novelty of this amazing gadget ... ...for someone whos whole family travels, say weekly from Birmingham to London. However, for people who dont travel so much in cars this thing is quite a waste of money. I remember when i got mine, it cost a fortune. These days, they are much cheaper and probably much more durable and high quality and you can get dual screen players as well. One down side in this specific version is that the speaker volume is not great for many films. Very Nice unit Advantages: Great Pic qulity, stylish feel Disadvantages: slow to load discs Jvx Kw - AV800 Wow basilcally thats it summed up it a nutshell. I have had three in car Dvd players and by far and away this is the best one. The installation I left to a mate while i was away on holiday, when i got back he had bought one as well!. Everything about it feels "classy" the disc loading mechanism to the buttons on the remote all just feel right (if that makes sense). The menu display is a little fiddly but once you have used it a little ... ...nice sleek and elegant. It plays almost every format of video clip you can imagine, although it did have a little problem loading a "Backup" dvd movie ;-). Get some decent speakers installed and you are all set its a superb by much better than some of the other units available for the same price.
