Very Nice unit Advantages: Great Pic qulity, stylish feel Disadvantages: slow to load discs Jvx Kw - AV800 Wow basilcally thats it summed up it a nutshell. I have had three in car Dvd players and by far and away this is the best one. The installation I left to a mate while i was away on holiday, when i got back he had bought one as well!. Everything about it feels "classy" the disc loading mechanism to the buttons on the remote all just feel right (if that makes sense). The menu display is a little fiddly but once you have used it a little ... ...nice sleek and elegant. It plays almost every format of video clip you can imagine, although it did have a little problem loading a "Backup" dvd movie ;-). Get some decent speakers installed and you are all set its a superb by much better than some of the other units available for the same price. High qual A/V for double DIN owners Advantages: Extremely high value for $, add-ons, excellent a/v quality, JVC=solid equipment Disadvantages: Minor additions would make this a world beater, add-ons are expensive, no navigation available ...so no worries - just JVC and professional installers understandably avoiding tort litigation. The digital EQ function is very nice - I see no need for an external EQ at any level of audiophile outside of competition - about a dozen presets plus 3 user defined sets. Overall this unit truly shines. The menu system is very straightforward and offers plethora options. Observation: if your in dash positioning will tilt the display upward, glare during ... ...There's not much JVC could do about that, just a word to the wise. On my wishlist: While playing music, you could set a folder on the SD from which to scroll pics or video. Ability to watch USB video on the head unit while the remote displays show DVD vid using dual mode - as it is now when the DVD is playing in Dual Zone, you can listen to the stereo from the dash and possibly satellite (which I have little desire to purchase). The LCD monitor is capable of projecting high quality pictures and with bright colour display. The lillliput are the professional manufacturers of most TFT LCD monitors. Now lets come down to the monitor's capabilities and features.
