I have been learning how to drive now for almost a year. I bought a brand new KA on my 21st birthday, I saved up till then and bought my cool little car. That was the easy bit!

After scaling the magazines for driving schools my Mum gave me a number of a private driving school in my area. It was a man that my Mum's friends 2 boys had passed with. So, I gave him a ring and booked a few lessons with him.

My first lesson came and I was nervous but excited at the same time, as I had never even started an engine before my first lesson went quite well. I continued week after week driving around the same old areas and my instructor seemed to be getting more and more fed up with me each lesson.
He never shouted at me but he just used to sigh an awful lot. This made me so upset and even more nervous.
I then went on holiday and then he got ill so my progress then diminished and I was soon back to the level I'd started at.

Soon after a friend of mine passed her test so it gave me the idea that her instructor was better that mine. I decided to give him a go so rung him and booked a few lessons. He was going to charge me £19 per lesson instead of the normal of £23 for my area. This was cos I had been referred to by my mate.
He's working for the AA driving school. The car is a brand new ford focus which is a bit different to the Corsa that I had been learning in!!
Lessons with Noel were so much more relaxed that I actually enjoyed my lessons rather that dread them. I then did my theory test thinking I would fail but to my amazement passed first time!

Well continued to drive more and now we reach this crucial point in time. For tomorrow I have my practical driving test at 2.30 in Sutton, Surrey. I don't want to seem panicky but it gives me the same feelings that doing my A level exams gave me... In fact I would rather sit another A level exam instead!
The worst thing is, I only found out yesterday that I have got the new test the one where you need to know the mechanical side of things. Oh ****!!!

I really hope I pass.......
Watch this space and thanks for letting me stress out like this!!!!

Good luck for tomorrow, know the feeling of dread you get beforehand, but worth it in the end even if my hubby still says he doesn't know how I ever passed my test! Pat.t
