Indesit DV 62K - poor choice - replaced after four years 18/04/2010

User doesn't recommend the product

Advantages Inexpensive, simple controls, never actually broke down
Disadvantages Flimsy, poor wash, fell apart progressively , lasted 4 years

We experienced various problems, and I would not recommend this Indesit machine. Early on, it was apparent that the machine was designed to be easily assembled, but that it came apart too readily. The little stops for the top tray came open, and the tray would come out and loose. Not a disaster, but had to fiddle every other wash. Then the grab-handle which always looked flimsy broke after about one year and we had to open the door wih a reduced grab of broken plastic. Never actually cut ourselves. It was never a great washer and we always seemed to have put some of the items through a second ... more
