Lets start with the all important specifications,
Full specification
Drying Capacity kg 7 kg or 15.4lbs. The greater the capacity the more tumble drying you can do at any one time.
Energy Rating C. An alphabetical classification going from "A" to "G". An "A-Grade" Energy Efficient machine will save you money by using less electricity and water. OK, so it is not an 'A' or 'B' rating, but unless you want to pay a lot more for a dryer, then 'C' seems to be the industry standard.
Energy Consumption 5.11 kwh. This indicates the power or electrical consumption of the appliance. The lower the figure the less electricity it uses.
Condenser - YES. Do not need venting though an outside wall and is therefore often better for those where space is a concern.
Reverse Action - YES. The drum rotates in both directions to help untangle clothes and prevent creases, making ironing easier.
Fluff Filter - YES. Collects lose fibres from your clothes and fabrics.
Colour - White or silver.
Stacking option - YES. A stacking kit can be purchased so the dryer can be stacked safely with a washing machine, saving valuable space.
Timer - YES, up to 160 minutes.
Final cool tumble - YES. For reduced creasing and easier ironing. Sounds good to me - I hate ironing. My wife won't let me near an iron as I'm so terrible at it.
Drying Temperatures - 2. High heat and low heat, simple as that.
Measurements - this particular model is what is known as a standard size. Height 850 mm Width 595 mm Depth 584 mm
Front of machine.
Top left is the water container. This is much better than our previous dryer which had the container at the bottom and was accessed via removal of a grill. Here you simply pull it out, there's no bending down which is good if you have mobility problems.
Printed on the machine is a drying guide so there is no need to keep pulling the instructions out.
It has a 'empty water' light to say when the container is full, though it is recommended to empty it after every cycle. The container is rectangular and not too heavy even when full.
A heat button - pressed in for High heat and out for low. Basically use 'high' for cottons and 'low' for synthetics and acrylics.
A start button - just press it to start!!
A timer knob - this sets the drying time, and is rotated clockwise.
At the bottom, hidden behind a panel is the condenser and filter. The condenser is removed by simply releasing three catches and pulling out. It is recommended that it is cleaned and rinsed under a tap once a month to maintain optimum efficiency.
The door is opened by pressing and releasing the front panel when indicated by a hand sign. Inside, at the front, you will find a plastic blue fluff filter that is removed by easily pulling out via two finger grips. It is an easy task then to clean any fluff deposits from the filter mesh. We tend to do this after every use, as it's amazing how much fluff comes off.
Useful information.
During the drying programme, you can check on the laundry and take out items that are dry while others continue drying. When you close the door, just press the 'start' button to resume drying.
About 10 minutes before the programme is completed, it enters the final 'cool tumble' phase where the fabrics are cooled.
Drying times. Just so you can make a comparison with other models, I'll give a couple of examples,
Cottons - high heat - say 3kg (half load) takes 55 - 70 minutes. A full (7kg) load 120 -140 minutes.

Advantages: Large Capacity, Quiet Disadvantages: Energy rating C.
...We stumbles accross the Indesit IS70CS in B&Q. We were mooching around looking for paint. At the time they were offering 20% off the ticket price.
We went home and checked out the prices on various price comparson web sites (incl this one) and we found the B&Q price very cheap. So we headed straight back to shop and bought it.

It runs very quietly. Although we do us the JML drying balls to help reduce drying time. They do add a bit more noise when the machine is in operation.
The energy rating is C. It is lightweight. We managed to lift it up to our first floor flat without any problems. We even managed to get it into the boot of our Smart Forfour.

IS70C Indesit Tumble Dryer
I bought this tumble dryer 2 months ago and it has been brilliant so far. It is very efficient and I am completely amazed at the amount of fluff and water that it collects! Luckily the fluff filter is a good size and water drawer holds several kilos of water. If you are not very good at remembering to empty the water drawer don't worry there is a 'drawer full indicator light' to remind you.
The door opens and closes well ... ...(now a little wiser!) and I found the Indesit IS70C. I wish I had bought the IS70C first it would have saved a lot of bother!
So far so good, I would certainly recommend the Indesit IS70C tumble dryer to others and at £200 you really can't go wrong. ...

The Indesit 535s wash temperatures are 45-50-65-70°C and it is quiet in use with a noise level of 55 dB at its loudest. The main noise comes from the whooshing of the water which is quite a pleasant sound.
The programmes are selected via a dial and the Indesit has wash phase indicator LED lights so you can tell where it is in the cycle. There is a height adjustable top basket which is useful when including taller glass wear in the wash. The baskets both are an easy glide system and can be removed ...
