Indesit KP9508 - Huge cooker, and Huge value.

Advantages: Large oven, 5 hobs, wok hob, quick to cook food.
Disadvantages: Only one shelf in oven, easy to burn food in pans.

We ordered and paid for the Indesit KP9508 in September 07, after doing an internet search and finding it complete with splashback and extractor hood for just under 380 pounds on the Marshall Ward website. The cooker duly arrived in the past week (23 Nov 07), after a huge delay, which was worth it, as we got the package at a very very good price. I honestly believe the website had made a mistake in pricing, hence our decision to pay for it immediately. The cooker arrived in a HUGE cardboard and polystyrene box, and being dual fuel (electric oven/gas hob) we had to get a plumber in to connect the gas, at an extra cost. Once connected though, the cooker is easy to use, and an absolute delight. The cooker looks as if its straight from a professional kitchen, and is finished in stainless steel, with cast iron pan supports which give ...

Good, dependable, no thrills cooker

Advantages: no thrills, does the job, easy to use, clean, good instruction book
Disadvantages: handle on grill tray

Ok ok, so perhaps Beko is a name that doesn't trip off the tongue when talking about replacement cookers. However, I've had my cute little electric 212 for over a year now and have to say that I'm completely satisfied with it. Its of a very basic hob design with twin cavities (grill & Oven) with the usual four hot plates offering power outputs of between 1kw & 2kw, while the reasonably sized oven has a maximum power of 2100 watts. Its relatively light at 57kg, so its easy to slide between kitchen units for cleaning etc. It can come in a number of colours from typical white, to green or blue. I chose to be conservative and went for white. The control panel isn't particular sophisticated with knobs set for the hotplates, oven, grill along with a couple of indicator/thermostat lights and nothing more. There's a couple ...

The Indesit SIXL145S: Once in a Blue Moon

Advantages: Great machine!
Disadvantages: If used improperly may leave you're kitchen floor covered in detergent

cycle until there is no detergent left. Before you rush out and buy you should note that if you overfill the wash or put in excessive soap etc you may return to discover your floor covered with soapy water because the washer has a release mechanism to stop it from breaking down supposedly but this doesn't apply to you or me because we're 'good' and would never do that. If anything does go wrong though the machine comes with a warrantee. Efficiency - A+ Capacity - 6kg Spin Cycle - 1400rpm (top speed) Colour - Silver (and blue) Price - ASDA(£300), Argos(£349.99) = Shop around! More info - www.indesit.co.uk ...
