We have purchased our washer dryer in august 05 from Comets. Our criteria for choosing it were: -its easiness of use: with only 3 knobs to turn, it is very simple to start a load. there is nothing too electronic going on at the front of the machine, which makes it ideal for people who do not like anything too complicated. one is for the program, the other for the temperature and finally the third is for the duration of the dryer session. -it is ...
...the clothes need less drying time than with a 1000 or a 1200 rpm one. -it has a 60 minutes washing program that we use for nearly every load. the more disappointing aspects were: -you can not dry for less than 40 minutes, which is a bit of a pain as sometimes we like our linen to be still damp for ease of ironing. -the 60 mi program can not be followed by a drying session -we have a problem with our machine as it does not accept softener anymore ... Purchased this Washer-Dryer in June this year as it proved best value for money from the retailer. So far have only had one problem with it - after two and a bit months the spin cycle caused a plate in the rear of the machine to bend out of place. Apparently this is the first time the engineer had ever seen this happen so likely we were unlucky. The repair was quick, free of charge and simple. ...washing ready to hang out before you leave for work. It also gets clothes really clean even though it's a quick wash. The drying cycle is similarly good - thought the machine tends to get extremely hot and as a result a smell of perishing rubber can be left on the clothes if a tumble dryer sheet is not used. The soap drawer cannot be removed for cleaning though, so when adding powder/fabric softener, steady hands are required! ... Read review

...I have always though Indesit was quite a good brand name, and haven't had any problems with any of their appliances before. The machine has a good programme list, looks smart, and is of a decent size. It's pretty easy to use, with three dials rather than the multitude of buttons and digital screens that some of them seem to have at the moment. ...middle don't even seem to get wet! Some of them, when dry, seem almost crispy, as if the washing powder hasn't been rinsed out. When using the 50 degree or 90 degree washes, it carries on washing constantly until you manually switch it off, drain and spin it. The first time this happened, I was obviously not expecting it, went out for the day, and came home 14 hours later with the washing machine still going! I think this may put a bit of a dent ... Right from the start this machine was trouble. As soon as it was installed it failed immediately, and they were unable to repair it and had to give me a replacement. This developed an intermittent fault that mysteriously cleared when the engineer came and looked at it, and now, barely 2 years on, just outside the warranty, it has packed up again. I am a single bloke living on my own, so I would not say that this machine has had a particularly hard time of it. It wasn't the cheapest, so I would really expect it to last a bit longer than it has. I now have to decide whether it's worth mending, or whether I should cut my losses and fork out on something good.

Absolutely superb product! this was my first venture into the washer/dryer market, and i have to say that it was fantastic! to be able to place your items to wash in the machine, and set it to wash and dry all within the same product allows me to spend my time on more important things, rather than concentrating on the washing. Also, we have terrible water pressure in our area, and a previous washing machine did not wash properly due to this fact, ...
...and still fills up without a problem! also, i found that the product allowed for incredible ease of use... not like many other products inside the same family. It has a simple to read and use list of functions on the front of the machine. The ease of the functions respond to the functions listed, without any need to read the manual.
