We bought this washing machine four weeks ago so I have had enough dirty washing go through the programmes to give you some realistic feedback. Firstly the machine has good energy ratings which is now a seriously important feature to think about when you buy an electric appliance. We discovered that not all machines within this price rance give such high energy efficiency so this is definately a plus point. The machine has a simple, easy to read programme face. The simpleness of the clock type programming dial and push button extra feature mechanism means that it is quick and easy to come to grips with initially and then to tailor the wash features to your specific needs. If you have arthritic hands or difficulty manipulating heavy or intricate knobs and buttons this machine is worth a look at because the dials turn easily and the you do not have to exert too much pressure to close the drum door. The machine has 14 programmes and 3 partial programmes. You can do all your usual washes and if you feel inclined, there are programmes specifically for sports shoes, sportswear and delicate fabrics. The extra functions include a simple delay timer (Which delays the wash for up to 9 hours), a stain removal function (Which allows you to add bleach to your wash), an easy iron feature and an extra rinse option. I can vouch for all of these except the bleaching facility. The drum is not massive and I had a few reservations when I looked at it in the shop however in reality it is sufficient for a normal family's needs. The most used programme in our house is the 30 degree Daliy Wash which delivers a good standard of cleanliness at a low temperature in about 30 minutes. The only thing I would say is that you should use a liquid detergent at this temperature to get the best result. Overall this machine is simple and easy to use, washes quickly and thoroughly and is energy saving. It is good value for money.
