Nevertheless, the quality of steve waughs men came through. At 99-5 in the first innings, mots test sides would have folded in the cauldron of the wankhede stadium, but a class knock from the keeper gilchrist saved the day, alongside mathew hayden. The indians were found wanting in reply, and the aussies with mcgrath and gillespie tore the batting order apart. This current side is unstoppable, and arguably one of the best test sides in recent years....
it would have been interesting to see this side take on the west indian side of the 1980's !
