Second to only the Australians, I think this current Indian side has all it takes to become legendry! I’d support Vaughn’s boys any day but the way the Indians are going right now you can’t help but appreciate them, after being beaten miserably in their first encounter against Australia in the world cup they’ve jus gone berserk.
Under a captain who has already been named the most successful Indian Captain ever, Indian are flourishing in a evolutionary way never seen before, he (Saurav Ganguly) has the ability to light a fire in the young Indians that stays and gets the job done!! They absolutely massacred Pakistan at home and now look invulnerable, I mean even all the experts are stumped at this side’s prowess.
They Have: -
Saurav Ganguly: - One of the greatest captains of all times in my opinion and someone who gets the team to work together, in my opinion the most important aspect of the game Sachin Tendulkar:- The god of cricket, Sir Donald Bradman actually compared Sachin to him and said no one was better, what else, I MEAN what else could advocate more for the fact that he’s #1?? His charisma, style and grace make the bowlers want to die.
Rahul Dravid: - Saurav’s deputy, this man is synonymous with words like The WALL, MR. Reliable, he has abilities even Sachin Lacks, the ability to jus stand like a wall, no matter what you throw at him, I quote what one of the greatest bowlers ever, Wasim Akram, said for him, “With his rock solid defense, we just wonder how we’re gonna trouble him, let alone get him out.” Yuvraj Singh and Mohammed Kaif: - These young Indians have rescued India from a No win situation tons of times and are really quite spectacular not to mention they save about 40 runs every match on the field with their incredibly agile bodies.
Anil Kumble: - A legend already, this leg spinner who has a whole bag of tricks to trouble the opposition, really pays off for India on numerous occasions; his faster one is actually faster then what many quick bowlers bowl!! His experience and patience make him absolutely invaluable to the Indian side.
Irfan Pathan and Balaji: - Well these enthusiasts have made a name for them at an unbelievable pace; these quick bowlers have stuck to the basics of the game and one India the Series (One day and Test) in Pakistan. they were the key, as India have always lacked a quality pace attack. Irfan’s reverse swing actually surprises Pakistani bowlers, that’s amazing considering they invented it.
Well these guys have given Indian the ability to actually win matches abroad rather then winning just at home, India was always a force to reckon with at home but now they have actually become an unbelievable side even on foreign tours, that’s what at this point makes them arguably the best team in the world!!
