India Cricket team is governed by BCCI (Board Of Cricket Control India), i'm a big fan of cricket & India is my Fav team.
Indian team is among the best teams in cricket in the current world, it is the most Fav game and also the most played game in India though Hockey being the nationa game of India.
Cricket was brought by The British in India when they were ruling India.
Indian Team gets the maximum money then any other team in the world world when it comes to Sponcership.
Cricket in India is played in almost every lane, cricket is majorly Domestic & International in India. International being where by you play with other countries & Domestic within themselves in which the BCCI see;s the performance and the best ones are selected for the Indian Internationa team.
India have won the world cup only once in 1983, and lost in the finals to Australia in 2003. But they are currently the world champions for the first time help 20-20 World cup.
Indian team had produced the greats with the likes of Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Mohinder Amarnath, Azharuddin, Sachin, SAuran so on the list is so huge for me to pen down.
Sachin Tendulkar he is currently the best batsman around the world, he is rated as the Best Batsman In ODI alltime and he is followed by the great Sir Viv richards from West Indies & he second alltime best in Test Cricket and next to the great Sir Don Bradman from Australia. Sachin has the world record of maximum 100's in both form of cricket. There is also a saying if cricket is religion then Sachin is the God of Cricket.
Current Captain of Indian Cricket Team are Test Anil Kumble & ODi is MS Dhoni, Kumble a great bowler holds the world record for taking all the 10 wickets in one single innings of a test match.
The current squad has a lot of new talent with the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Mohd Kaif, Irfan Pathan, Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa etc.
The Indian team jersey color has been blue for so may years in ODI but i'v heard they will be having new colors from thier next series Vs South africa and it would be a combination of Grey & Orange.
Last year there was a 20 20 cricket league found in india called Indian Cricket League which headed by kapil Dev but it was not approved by the BCCI so the ICC(Internation Cricket Council) also didnt supported it. In this form there are 8 teams by the city name in this there will be indian players and international players and playing each other same as the county goes in England. they offered big money so it did attracted lot of players, but as it was not approved all the palyers playing in ICL were band from playing international cricket from every country through out the world.
Seeing this the BCCI made IPL(Indian Premier League) which had the backing of ICC and the tournament for this one will start from 18th April this year, it is already cathing everyones eye as its approoved and it has all the big names from todays cricketing world playing in it and this one is offering money which is too good. i'm also waiting for this one to start as it will be great to watch all the guys playing together.
Apart from Mens Cricket team, India also have a Womens cricket team which is also doing good in the current world cricket for Womens.
The people of india are big fans of Indian team, go every where to support thier home teams and that to in Big numbers. So when ever you see any indian team playing you will find the stadium full most of the time.
I know my review is 2 short to discribe a great team like India.... but thats it....
