ABOUT INDOOR PLANTS

Houseplants are popular indoor decorations.Attractive and constantly
changing, they add a softness of line and nature indoors..It adds that special something to a room...

House Plants add more than beauty and personality to a room - they can actually make your home healthier!! Many, if not most of the materials used to build our homes and offices are loaded with chemicals that are known to cause a variety of health problems in people, including cancer...and house plants are known to offset these toxic effects..
The ideal location of a plant for decoration may not be the ideal spot for plant growth. Lack of adequate light is the most common factor limiting the growth of plants in many areas of ones home.
Improper watering is another major cause of most house plant problems. Both under and over watering can cause leaves to yellow and fall, and it is very difficult to revive a plant after it reaches that stage.

Another important factor is providing adequate water drainage, which is very essential for plants grown indoors in containers. One has to ensure good drainage by mixing an adequate quantity of sand into the potting soil..A good soil mix of one part of soil, one part of peat and fertiliser and one part of sand should do the needful

They need to be repotted regularly and sprayed with a good pesticide/insecticide to ensure good growth, on a regular basis....

Baby Bio House Plant Spray comes in a 500ml container , very Convenient to use on houseplants. It is an insecticide, contains permethrin and Bioallethrin. It can be sprayed directly on the plants without diluting or mixing with anything..It controls most insects and pests.
One has to take some precautions while using the Bio spray on Indoor plants , need to be careful after spraying the house plants with Bio spray, especially with small children around the house. It is possible that babies or children touch the plant and put their fingers in their mouth or rub their eyes...which can cause nausea and eye irritation, it isnt dangerous as such , most of the time washing the eyes with plenty of water should be enough, but it can cause a lot of discomfort...however the smell of the spray , a strong chemical odour is sure to discourage anyone from touching it.
I use the spray at night and try to keep the plants out in the garden for a day or two, and once it has been absorbed,i spray the plants with a generous amount of water, so that theleaves are washed thoroughly and once drained bring them back inside the house..I have not had any mishaps so far..
The spray is very effective in controling the pests and generally improving the plant condition. One may need to wait for a week or two before any noticeable results are seen..
I have found them to be useful on most Indoor plants like Crotons ,Chrysanthamums, and other flowering plants..
It is preferable to spray the plants with Bio regularly, say once a month, to keep them healthy and i notice that after spraying , the plants seem to grow faster, may be the chemical in the insecticde mixing with the soil as one waters and sprays the plants with water, helps them grow.
One need to spray sparinly on the plants and the bottle lasts for about 6 months, if one need to spary regularly, on 5 or 6 house plants..which is quite economical for the price ...It is available at most Garden stores and super markets selling Garden tools....

Good review. Best thing to do if you can't be bothered to water house plants is to just buy cactus and plants from deserts.
