A while ago i bought a pair of these Infinity 6*9 speakers as my old pioneers got a little frazzeled. For a set of these i paid £40.00 which i was very happy with and once i had fitted them they looked very nice indeed.
These speakers are 300watt, 4 ohms thumpers with a RMS of 100 watts. The installation is easy and the instructions are easy to follow even for the novice ICE (in car entertainment) installer. The speakers come with built in, silk, fully edge driven domed midrange and tweeter speakers, situated in the centre of the lagre main cone,with a larger cone surface area than its competitors, which increases bass output and creates higher efficency, alot like you'd find in high-end, home audio gear.
Compare these to my old pioneer 6*9 speakers and these win hands down as they are alot louder and can handle more bass than the pioneers.
As i am getting a little older now my favourite music is starting to change a little, instead of the thumb thumb of house and hard house i tend to sway more towards keane and coldplay now but these speakers seem to like it all, it doesnt matter what goes through them the music sounds good, crisp, and sweet. And when hooked up to an amp in the boot of your car the sound just gets better.
Infinity have been making sound gear for quite some time now and it shows, from the sound of these speakers to the look, they have it bang on and i will probably stick with infinity for sometime now and i am currently looking for some infinity's to go in my front doors.
Very good speakers at a very good price, so if your in the market for some new rear shelf sound, take a look at these, my guess is you wont be disapointed..
