...I have just finished at the university of Portsmouth doing a Business InformationSystems course and I did say that I would do a full review of the course. A review on Portsmouth University by me can also be read on dooyoo.
The course is a rare course across the UK in universities, at the time I was looking to do my UCAS form, there were only 9 institutions doing it, Portsmouth being one of them. I have just looked at the number doing the course now and this has gone to 5 for the 4-year course and 5 for the 3-year course.
The computing and informationsystems department at the University is one the largest in the university and is in the top ten of new university departments for it.
At Portsmouth it is classed as one of the high level degrees in the BSc areas, it takes the best of the computer science modules and the business...

Advantages: Good course, Great prospects after Disadvantages: Some outdated content
...As a Graduate from the school of electronic & computer systems at Kingston University. (Class of 99). I would like to inform anyone who is considering attending Kingston University, that this course is very well constructed. The equipment that this establishment has to offer is up to standard. In the above course I have learned Analogue and Digital electronic techniques as well as computer networks. Although some of what you learn is out dated in the real world, the course still gives the basic understanding as to how electronic and computer systems are derived. However one word of warning anyone attending this course should have fairly strong mathematical skills, at least up to A-level standard. A lot of explanations given by the tutors will be by a numerical formulae, rather than a sentence.
I found the course work to be challenging...
