Advantages: Cheap and Just As Good As Epson Disadvantages: May Affect waranty
just slot them into the required slot and you are away. The ink level meters work as well as ever but it is noted that you are not using an Epson cartridge which could affect your warranty.
Comparing these babies against the Epson, by printing out a photograph I previously printed using Epson cartridges I can see no visible difference in quality, and there is the same lack of smudging. My only concern being now how long they last when compared to Epson cartridges...... That was easily tested by printing out a copy of my 130 page thesis that my former boss and now emeritus pain in the backside professor wanted a copy of. This takes up about 2/3 of most of the cartridges which was about the same as the Epson printers. So I can safely say that they are an absolute bargain, as they do the same job for half the price.

I gather that reconditioned (i.e. refilled) Z16's are available. I have never tried these, so cannot vouch for them.
However, I have recently started refilling Z16's myself. It is easy (I have been using a Tesco Value refill ...
Advantages: very long lasting, high quality ink Disadvantages: the initial cost is more than a regular sized cartridge
In my opinion the HP 350XL printcartridge is good value for money. It provides a high quality print everytime on a variety of different papers and lasts a really long time. I definately think it is worth while buying the XL cartridges as they work out cheaper in the long run. I bought this product when printing my dissertation at university and despite the fact that it was over 200 pages long and i had to make 2 copies the cartridge lasted the whole time as well as having some ink left over. The ink was also quick drying so it was very smudge resistant even on glossy paper. I would recommend this product to anyone who is thinking of buying a black inkcartridge for their HP printer. ...
