Novel, retro and surprisingly easy to use
Advantages: Fun, quirky and instant results. Disadvantages: Expensive film pack refills, limited functionality.
I purchased a Polaroid One Classic 600 last summer as a novel touch to our wedding guest book. Our Best Man circulated the room during coffee after the wedding breakfast meal, snapping guests with the Polaroid and then sticking the images on separate pages of our guest book for people to write their messages alongside. The results were hilarious and still have us in stitches when we look back through the pictures and comments. The camera was easy ... ...fully; the instant result is unbeatable really. The major dawback, in my opinion however, is the somewhat extortionately priced Polaroid One (600 in this case) film packs. These are relatively easy to obtain online but cost, in our case at least, approximately £50 for just 20. ...

A Good Buy
Advantages: good quality photos, simple use, bright flash Disadvantages: bulky shape
...I decided to buy a polaroid camera I found that wasnt a huge ammount of choice and that really the only option i had was to buy the Polaroid one 600. I was hesitant as it was quite expensive but i am pleased with my purchase.
The camera is large and this often proves difficult when taking photos or when carrying it in your bag as you cant just slip it in your pocket or hang it from your wrist. However the quality of the photos is good. They always ... ...the photo from where the polaroid is ejected from the camera. Yet this is confined to the bottom of the photo and doesnt interefere with the image too much.
Once youve read the instructions its easy to load the film and remove empty cartridges. All in all the polaroid one 600 was a good buy and provides me with good quality polaroids. ...

Old Camera, Instant High Quality Print-Outs
Advantages: Instant high-quality print-outs, No charging of camera Disadvantages: Will get blurry results with slight movements, out-of-date/fashion
Polaroid cameras are nowadays mainly used by people who own travel shops, where customers visit in order to get passport sized photos, either for passports or for other purposes such as for driving licenses and bus passes. The Polaroid camera technology is also used in Photo Booths, which you will see in shopping centers, mainly located in the busiest parts of the shopping centers. Also people who take family photos for a living use Polaroid cameras ... ...satisfaction is guaranteed.
The Polaroid 1200I has an auto focus function, which focuses on the point of target to get the best possible picture. The thing you have to take into account with this Polaroid camera is that even though auto focus is provided as a feature on the camera, it is not very effective in the sense that the person taking the photograph as well as the target person or people have to remain consistently still to allow an effective ...

Instant Photos WOW
Advantages: Quick photos, fun to use Disadvantages: Expensive, bulky, heavy
I received this as a present a number of years ago as digital cameras were not available yet. At the time they seemed like a good idea and the thought of having an instant picture taken and seeing how it turned out was very exciting indeeed. Ok the size was an issue and replacement films cost like £5 but the overall concept was straightfoward and fun.
For each roll of film, you only get 10 pictures and each one that is developed is quite small and ... ...was certainly a good bit of fun at the time. Portability was certainly an issue as this is heavy and can't be easily stored or carried around-especially since it is an awkward shape and bulky.
In terms of features, there were virtually none. To take a photo, you simply opened it up and then point and take the picture. After that the photo pops out and you wait for about 5 minutes until the picture becomes clearer.
Overall this was a good idea in ...

Fujifilm Instax 100
Advantages: It has a small LCD to show how many pictures you have left, a two zone focus, a lowlight automatic flash, a wide picture format the lens extends from the body, when switched on and retracts when you turn it off Disadvantages: Unfortunately it doesn't have a timer, which would have been a useful addition, can only use Fujifilm Instax film packs!
...niché market, it looks like Fujifilm may have beaten them at their own game.
I bought the "Big Party" pack, which comprises of the camera, a black carry case, four "AA" (Pen width) batteries, a shoulder strap and two packs of 10 picture film.
The camera is large and seems too bulky at first, but you soon get used to it. The instructions are easy to follow and you will find you are ready in no time at all.
The features were the first things which ... ...this camera can only use Fujifilm Instax film packs (which can be hard to find in camera shops, unless you live in a city or go to Argos), the quality of the print is excellent and the film is cheaper than the Polaroid film!
Unlike the Polaroid, the pictures come out of the top, although unfortunately it doesn't have a timer, which would have been a useful addition. The greatest thing for me though, is that the lens extends from the body, when switched ...
