Advantages: Gets the job done Disadvantages: lifetime
...An overall look at the Corsair Microsystems 512MBDRAM
shows its fast (lives up to the specifications it boasts), easy to fit (realy depends on the mother board), but lacks all forms of documentaion.
To the day to day computer user this ram is particulart special. The ram lives up to the speed boasted by its specifications well. Unlike some ram i have worked with that says 200mhrz and behaves like 10mhrz.
The ram is fairly reliable, you can run fiarly ram extensive applications and the ram will continue to perform like it should.
If you plan to overclock your ram to increase its performants furthure this ram would be a good choice. The ram can be overclocked fairly high without and addition expensive cooling equipment,
I strongly discourage this ram to any computer illitrate people as they would have a hard time fitting it...

...). With two 512MB modules (1024 MB), I've played the same game for the same duration and have yet to see a pause... nothing like that has occurred or been noticed with these two 512MB DDRs so far - good news.
With this 512MB, PC3200 DDR400 Kingston DIMM:

More than one program can be run without problems.
Movies are viewed at a smoother quality.
Games can be played with better quality and performance.

...I recently completed my first self build computer project. After having bought a pre-build last time I decided to do it myself this time as I have been inside my old one enough times to know what goes on.
My last computer used unbranded memory, and I feel this caused compatability issues with components I installed. I decided to opt for GEIL memory this time, and have installed two 512mb sticks giving me 1024mb of random access mem. Im running the mem with an AMD 64bit 3000 939Winchester processor and an ABIt AV8 mobo and have had no compatability issues.
The hardware analysis software SISoft Sandra 2005 informs me that its currently running 1gb memory, which is acceptable. Ive run prime95 on it for 24hours including tests such as 2500 lucas Lehmer iterations and the mem is stable. It remains stable when moderatly overclocking...
