How long is it possible to string out a review of a memory stick?

This product basically does exactly what it says on the tin. There are a number of different capacities available, starting at 512MB. I have the 4GB version, which gives a huge amount of storage for what is, basically, a 3 inch long piece of plastic.

Transfer of data is nice and easy thanks to the USB 2.0 connectivity - I've seen me transfer an issue of my website at www.citycycling.co.uk onto this flash drive in less than a minute, including multiple large images, and a large pdf file.

I've been using this for about a year now, and it has never (touch wood) lost or corrupted any data it is holding - put simply, everything gets exactly where it needs to be in one piece. This is helped by the drive feeling sturdy and well put together. It normally lives at the bottom of my cycling bag where it gets knocked about frequently, and only now is the casing showing any sign of wear at all.

I've also used this drive with about 4 different computers, and every single one recognised this as a drive with hardly a hesitation - it couldn't be easier to use.

Any problems? A couple of minor things stop this being five stars.

Firstly it's quite a bulky unit. 3 x 1 x 0.5 inches, although this means it sits nicely in your hand if you're carrying it. The bulk can be a problem, however, if your USB ports are quite close together, and the USB socket sits low in the unit, meaning it can only really be mounted in the top port, otherwise you won't fit anything above it.

Also, the little switch to lock the drive to make it write-protected is a bit fiddly (though again this maybe isn't a bad thing as it makes it difficult to flick it by mistake).

The last problem is really the price. Fortunately I got this from work for nothing, but having to pay around £15, when other drives can be had for half the price, makes it a bit of a steep purchase. But then, you know you're getting something that works and will continue to work...

Hmmmm. Turns out you can write quite a lot about memory sticks....
