Integral i-Pen - USB flash drive - 512 MB

Advantages: Fast, so easy to use, appearance.
Disadvantages: Storage capacity has long since been left behind.

...I bought this flash-drive from PC-world last year and it was slightly cheaper than some of the other brands. 512MB wasn't bad at all at the time, especially since upto that point I hadn't used anything other than a floppy or a CD-RW disc. A floppy has comparatively pathetic data capacity, a disc does have more than 512MB, however it has to be completely erased in order to add 1 small piece of data so isn't convenient. It also takes a long time to write. This on the other hand has plenty of storage, and is extremely fast. Its just like a miniature hard-drive. If it seems slow it will be because you are using this product that is USB 2 with a much slower USB 1 port on the connected device. It came in a brushed metal effect and has a retractable port. Advantages: Durable and Well built. Nice Design.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have any Swiss Army Knife accessories

...with USB 1.1 ports but it doesn't work with those in my keyboard. The transfer of data is as fast as any other flash drive I have used. The drive comes preloaded with security software to prevent unauthorised access to your data although this only seems to be compatible with Windows machines. Overall this a decent USB stick that works well and is a more attractive design than most. It feels very durable and well put together. 512MB isn't a huge amount of memory these days so I would recommend going for at least the 1GB model. Some people may prefer Victorinox's other USB Swiss Army Knives which have the usual knife and accessories in addition to the USB stick. However, for transporting data, especially on planes, this device may be the sensible option.... Read review

...Due to changes in the way we operate our computers at work it was deemed necessary to supply us with Memory sticks. I was not involved with the choice, myself along with my colleagues were all supplied with these Integral USB 2.0 splash drives with a 512MB capacity. That is over 60 of the little beasties. For those who do not know what a memory stick is, let me explain. All media (word processors, pictures, videos, presentations etc) can be stored electronically; normally you will save media to the internal hard drive of your computer. If you want to move media from one computer to another you can email it (provided both computers have internet access), if both computers share an intranet connection (server, once only found in offices these are now more common in homes with broadband and routers) then the media can be shared...
