...for a very long time. Intel seem to think the same as I do, because they provide the CPU with a three year warranty as standard.
As always whether or not you buy this CPU is down to what you want your computer to do. As an all round workhorse it's a great choice, plus it's so cheap you could replace it quite quickly if you need more speed and not feel you had wasted your hard earned cash. Of course it may not be around for much longer, the CPU market ... ...As a second hand buy it's not really worth it, unless you are being given it for free with a motherboard or something else.
Incidentally, I haven't a clue what the overclocking possibilities are with this chip, my motherboard doesn't really support those features, so I can't experiment. It may be that with the right platform you may get far more out of the Celeron D331 than I have. ...
