Celerons vs Durons...what an easy battle
Review of Intel Celeron 1 GHz processor by Kevin_Pritchard

Advantages: Cheap. Easily overclockable....still...so is the Duron
Disadvantages: Slow bus, slow cache (1st release Durons don't have any!)

...From my experience with Celerons, they are slow, cheap and nasty. Yes, they are easily overclockable, yes they cost a few quid, yes, many motherboards supports them, but have you seen the Durons for the same price?! A Celeron system running side by side with a Duron system, running the same game and same applications, same graphics cards etc show a major difference for the price. Since the Duron runs on a higher bus than the Celeron and has faster L1 and L2 cache, for the same price, you are being conned with your Celeron. Intel seem to be losing the war, even if they are trying really hard with the new Celeron II, for the price, a Duron CPU kicks a lot more ass than the Celeron.... Read review
