With more applications using multiple cpu cores a dual core processor is a must have item nowadays. Out of all the processors out there, this is one of the best. It is from the market leader Intel and is in my oppinion the best dual core processor in terms or the most performance for your money. If your gaming or just doing work on your pc this processor allows for many items to be ran simultaneously and with increased performance. The only real downside to this processor is that it is only compatable with certain motherboards so before buying check it is compatable and if not calculate in the extra cost for a motherboard and maybe new memory if your running DDR as almost if not all motherboards which support this processor run DDR2 so DDR memory won't work.
Basically this is the processor to get. It has the best performance/price ratio in this particular line of products.

What exactly does it mean dual core?It would be really useful to know what the performance increase was compared to a non dual core.What sort of motherboard does it need? Chris :)
