Brought this processor recently for my new PC, runs amazing.
Until now I have always used AMD processors as they have been cheaper, better for gaming and easy to overclock. But the Core 2 series has definatly overtaken AMD's Athlon 64 series for the time being. Although it may still be alittle pricey the performance well makes up for it. Also if you are interested in overclocking the Core 2 Duo, some people have tried and have overclocked it to 3.6GHz.I also found that the fan was very easy to install. In the past I have found CPU fans a pain to install but the stock fan clipped on quite easily. It is also quite quiet and keeps the CPU nice and cool (about 35 degrees idle), but if you are considering a major overclock you may wish to invest in a better CPU fan.
Overall I highly recommend this processor for anyone.
