...This processor is a fairly mid-high spec for core2duo range it delivers some great performance for a good price.
This cpu can handle a lot of multi-tasking along with playing powerful games. Usually i can run a defragmentation and notice it hardly at all i can play games and play music with no problem it just makes desktop computing so easy.
As you may know this is an IntelCore2DuoE6750 / 2.66ghz cpu, It has 2cores on the one chip. it runs with 64-bit architecture which then opens up a whole new world of 64-bit operating systems for tommorows technolodgy...this along with the fact it has 4mb lvl2 cache makes superfast repsonse rates to programs and files i have also noticed that their are not so many "cache misses" to which i expected so this pleases me the most :D

...This is the fastest standard IntelCore2Duo you can buy, the E6850 has a 333Mhz FSB which is 1,333Mhz Effective so it has more memory bandwidth than its descendants.
The E6850 has a VID of 1.35V most of the time (some of them have a VID of 1.3v although it's uncommon) and runs slightly hotter than a E6750 with a VID of 1.3, during my tests I also noticed it is harder to overclock than an E6750 but only by a small amount, me getting the clock speeds of the E6850 up to 3.45Ghz while I managed to get the E6750 up to just under 3.65Ghz, this was just with the boxed fans that came with the processors, although if you bought custom coolers, you would get much better.
Conclusion:
While I could not get it to overclock as high as an E6750 in my tests, you could easily reach over 4Ghz if you bought good enough cooling for it, however...

Advantages: Fast and can Cope with anything I've thrown at it easily Overclockable. Disadvantages: New range of Intel CPUs are cheaper and faster

The E6600 works at 2.4GHZ out of the box but with the right Motherboard and cooling can be easily pushed past 3GHZ and with water cooling up to 4GHZ. For a Motherboard for overclocking i would recommend the Asus P5B series and for cooling the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro is a great and cheap choice.
With a Arctic Freezer 7 Pro I get idle temps of 35 degrees C and under full load up to 45 degrees C
This is probably this CPUs weakest aspect as the recently released range of Core2Duos the E6*50 range are cheaper and faster than the E6*00 range. At the moment the E6600 can be purchased for around £140 whereas the E6750 which is slightly faster can be picked up for around £120. The only downside to these new range of Intel...
