The good Core2 got better

Advantages: very overclockable, pretty good at stock speed
Disadvantages: needs better cooling and other components to get full overclocking potential

Intel updates its Core 2 Duo line with the "Wolfdale" codename, now known as the E8xxx series. It features higher bus speed of 1333MHz (to remind you, the E6xxx series has 1066MHz and the E4xxx series has 800MHz), 6MB of L2 cache (compared to 4MB of E6xxx and 2MB of E4xxx), 64-bit computing ready and smaller die-size of 45nm.
The E8200 is the lowest offering from the series and it features a 2.66 Ghz of clock speed. If you plan ...
...overclocked to 3.2 GHz on stock cooling (assuming you have a good motherboard and RAM), some batches are able to run up to 3.6-4Ghz. Overclocked to 3.2 GHz, I found that it's 10-30% faster and more responsive than an overclocked E4300 (o/c'ed to 3.2 GHz). I'm sorry I can't post detail numbers here.
Basically it offers a good mid-range performance in stock speed. It offers a good upgrade from older CPUs such as Pentium, Celeron, Athlon64 series ... more

Advantages: fast, reliable, great support line.
Disadvantages: Usually unwaned software come pre installed, but can be removed easily

The hp dc5800 is a brilliant consumer product, i currently work for a computer firm and we have had quite a few HP deskyop PCs brought in and installed for our clients. The Hp desktops are very reliable and speedy machines, they tend to come complete with manufacturer software such as:- - Roxio CD/DVD creator - HP system software manager - HP protest tools security software The hp software is not really needed but the roxio cd/dvd creatpr is very useful. This PC will be perfect for business use, and possibly a decent gaming machine. Samll review on the installed hardware PROCESSOR - Core 2 Duo E8200 / 2.66 GHz very speedy processor, reliable and fast, perfect for multifunction tasks.
