I am currently sat my laptop with this exact processor in, and I have not met a single problem with it. One can expect laptops to be slightly slower than desktop computers, but this processor makes the gap between the two appear very minimal. As a non-tech person myself, I have did some background research into core 2 duo processors before i purchased one as I wondered how long the technology would last. It has appeared to me that this type of processor will be one of the leading ones on the market for several years which in tech terms is a long life, and its quite cheap for a relatively new, high end technology. To give you a sort of comparison with older single CPU processors, my old desktop pentium 4 had a processor that was rated at 3.2 giga-hertz, which is the speed it runs at, this may appear as a 2 giga-hertz model, but when I used www.systemrequirementlabs.com i found out that this core 2 duo processor is rated at 4.94 giga-hertz, which is a vast increase on my old desktop, this is a simplified way of looking at it, but for myself (ie a tech-noob) i think it spoke volumes about the difference in a more obvious way.
I have seen no problems with this processor in the short time I have had it, but if i have any i will be sure to let you all know!
