applications! TheCore 2 Extreme QX9775 is approximately 8% faster than its predecessor, andis the first quad-core chip on the market to provide such a high level ofperformance. It?s great for use with current video games and, of course, thoseto come, because it has a clock frequency of 3.2 GHz, with a main bus of 1600MHz. The Core 2 Extreme QX9775 is the number one choice for themost demanding configurations!

Advantages: 4 cores, great performance, future proof Disadvantages: may require bios update, high power consumption
...Based on the same quad core architecture as Core2ExtremeQX6700 but with lower speed, with 4 cores this processor is really recommended especially for multitasking, multimedia encoding applications, but in generally is good at everything.
The speed. The processor speed depend especially of the aplications used, in some is slower than a dual coreprocessor but in four cores optimized applications this processor rocks.
Ease of installation: A little difficult because of the socket 775, require the main board to be removed from the case, check the cooler to click with all 4 connectors.
Stability: As all Intelprocessor is great but I recommend using a good 3'rd party cooler
Power consuming. This processor uses 120w max, recommend a 500w power source.
Other:check the main board/bios if support quad processor before installing, you may...

D 925 Review ofIntel Pentium D 925 / 3GHzprocessorby
Shah_H
Advantages: Cheap, Fast. Disadvantages: Heat, Old Generation
...I bought this processor a few months ago. I always had a good experience with Intel and once more I enjoyed their offering. This processor is a decent performer running at 3GHz. It can fit in any motherboard having LGA775 socket. It is based on 65 nm manufacturing technology. And for sure it is dual core!
Architecture Features:
Enhanced SpeedStep technology, streaming SIMD extensions 2, streaming SIMD extensions 3, Intel Extended Memory 64 Technology, Execute Disable Bit capability
This processor runs at 3GHz. It has decent FSB of 800 MHz. It is equipped with 2 MB l2 cache per core which means a total of 4 MB cache.
The power requirements of this processor are a bit higher than those of the newer Core2 Duo processors but still they are not that high. The processor heats up a bit, so, take care of the airflow across the processor...

Advantages: cheap & good processor! Disadvantages: 1m cache
...Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 / 1.8 GHzprocessor is helpful for those people who want to buy good processor but in cheapest rate. It is a stripped down low cost version of the Core2 Duo. The performance of the processor at stock speed is good. As it is a dual coreprocessor, its multitasking performance is very good.
You can compare this processor with other in the following link:

Mainly I recommend these processor for office use only. But if you want to play games with it.. then the best configuration will be
1. 1333mhz capable motherboard
2. 2GB of DDR2 800mhz RAM
3. ATI 3850 or Geforce 8800gs graphics card
4. Western digital/ Maxtor hard disk
5. case, keyboard, mouse.....etc
Installation of the processor is easy. It is same as core2...
