Well first of all the package is semi decent, it can be a little annoying if your trying to open it in a rush! The chip is placed just under some plastic packaging at the top a little bad perhaps as the sun/heat/sharp point could get to it and damage the chips surface. Anyway after finally opening the CPU I got onto inserting my Intel Core 2 Quad core Q6600 2.4Ghz processor into my computer. I wasn't to impressed to begin with during the boot but I guess that's to be expected as the CPU is used very little then. But when windows had booted up the speed of running programs was amazing. The best improvement I have noticed is in the running of games it's amazing you can just keep on turning up the settings and it just runs on full. Providing you have a semi decent graphics card that is. (Nvidia 8800 GTS 640mb here).
