The Intel DP45SG Extreme Series motherboard is an awesome motherboard with some nice features .The Intel DP45SG motherboard runs really great when installed with a intel core 2 extreme processor which is good performer and with this 2 you can play games to a higher level if you combine this 2 with a good high range end graphics card . I bought this motherboard 2 months back for around 162$ along with an intel core 2 quad q9650 3.0ghz and a nvidia gtx 260 sonic 216sp graphics card,all the 3 together my pc runs really great.When it comes to games which are of high graphics my pc handles them really good and runs them smoothly without any problem.The intel dp45sg motherboard supports the lga775 socket processors ie( intel core 2 extreme,intel core 2 quad, intel core 2 duo, intel pentium dual core, intel celeron dual core and intel celeron 400 sequence processors),it supports the atx form factor.The motherboard has 12- hi speed usb 2.0 ports(6back and 6 via headers),it has 5 sata ports(3.0gb/s) supporting raid 0,1,5,10 and 1 e sata port (3.0 gb/s). The motherboard is provided with 2 Pci express 2.0 x16 graphics connectors and 3 pci connectors and 2 pci express x1 connectors,The sound card of this motherboard is a 7.1 surround sound with dolby home theatre( intel high definition audio). This motherboard has 4 ddr3 1333/1066/800 sdram slots which can support upto 8gb max of memory and has got overclocking capabilities.This motherboard is of p45 express chipset,it has 2 ieee-1394 port( 1 external port,1 internal header) and a consumer IRreciever and emitter via internal headers), 1 serail port via header. So far my experience with this intel dp45sh motherboard was really good and didn't give any kind of problem.This motherboard supports the crossfire technology for the ati cards but one of the disadvantage is that it doen't support the sli technology for the nvidia cards.
