Intel Xeon processors give your enterprise the power to evolve in manageable ways. Now with dual-core technology, servers based on Intel Xeon processors provide the built-in standards, stability, and scalability your infrastructure needs to move your business forward. Intel Dual-Core Xeon processors help protect investment in existing applications and infrastructure through increased performance headroom and scalability to the most widely deployed 64-bit server platforms.

Advantages: ideal for intense computing environments Disadvantages: none
...Very good Speed and unbelieveable performance and The Dual-CoreIntelXeonprocessor 5100 series is ideal for intense computing environments, 32-bit and 64-bit business-critical applications and high-end workstation and Analysis in my mind Dual-CoreIntelXeonprocessor 5100 series-based platforms are expected to deliver up to 2.25 times the performance and 2.35 times the performance/watt of previous-generation dual-coreIntelXeonprocessors and realiable performance and I always advice my friends, visiter and colike. In my view overall good performance Easily purchase. Good Manufacture support and overall we see performance, efficiency, design very valuable. Advantages: very fast, reliable Disadvantages: pricey, need to have IT knowledge
...This dual2GHZcoreprocessor with combined speed of 4Ghz and a 4Mb Cache makes a very fast pc and will cope easily with many demanding programs running at once. There are probably better deals for the same or better processors, but you are paying for the quality, many dont have a high 4Mb cache. This would be most recommend for IT technicians or people who know what they are doing.
The main let down of this is the variation in the price, while this may be good, you dont want to be paying too much when you can get a compute just as good for the same high price or cheaper. But as i said before, if you can get a good deal, and know what your talking about, this is most recommended...

Advantages: Cheap, Good Performace Disadvantages: Not HT, L2 Cache could be bigger, Easy to install if you know how.
..., the processor is more than capable for video encoding and gaming.
It's kind of difficult to evaluate how this processor could be better, given that there are alternatives available, and if you were wanting HT for example, you wouldnt even bother with this processor. For what it is, there are no disadvantages. If you wanted a faster processor, go for a 3.4ghz, the general rule is, make sure when you're upgrading, the new processor is atleast 1ghz faster than what you currently have. (Presuming you have an old Pentium 4 machine or equivalent. With the new models, this rule doesnt apply as there are more factors to take into account with newer processors than ghz. e.g Dualcore, core2 etc). Ofcourse, it would benefit from HT or a bigger cache size, but there are CPUs that do this for more or less the same price.

The low end processors market is not as greatly disputed such as mainstream and high end processor market and also if you noticed few reviews are written about them, few more
