I've had this processor for about 1 year now and its still doing its job. It's a pretty fast processor and can run all the latest programs on my computer. I used to have alot slower computer when i only have a 1.5 ghz processor and the difference is huge. Its noticable from the second you turn your computer on. The intel pentium 4 is equipped with 64bit technology which is equipped for future applications. It has hyperthreading tehnology which allows calculations to be done twice as fast. I have found that it runs quite hot, mine runs about 60'c which im not sure is healthy, however this may be because i have not fitted the annoying heatsink properly. ...also read somewhere that an intel pentium 4 was pushed up to 6ghz! this was with water cooling however! A problem i found witht the processor is the supplied Fan its so hard to fit, you only get this type of fan with the 775 processor so be warned it is fidally and annoying!! also try and fit the fan BEFORE you put the motherboard in your pc, i made this mistake and suffered because of it!
