So poor!!! Review ofIntel Celeron 1 GHz processorby

Advantages: Slower than Pentium Disadvantages: Cheaper
...The Celeron processor's done with Time computers are rubbish, and i recommend that you always go with the Pentium III Chip- you get better value for money, and faster running at the same speed. For exmaple, the Celeron at 1000 Mhz runs slower than the Pentium III at 800 MHz, because it is not as well designed. You think you are getting a good deal, but you are actually getting a slower computer. I know always make sure that i get Pentium chips- and often you can only tell which chip you have in the small print- make sure it is Pentium. It is more reliable, and easier to update without changing other things on the Mother Board- get Pentium Chips they are much better!!!...

A top chip! Review ofIntelPentium III 1.13 GHz processorby
merkus77
Advantages: fast, new Disadvantages: expensive
...I upgraded from an IntelPentium II 450 mhz to the new IntelPentium III 700 mhz mainly because of the upgrade offer at a low cost. I found that immediately there was a noticeable difference and just the way in which my computer carried out every day tasks like opening programs and the likes seemed to fly through as if my old chip was carrying 4 suitcases with it on it's chores! I find no problems at all with it and I would seriously recommend it to anyone after a high speed processor with lightning speed and good capabilities....

Advantages: Cheap and fast compared to equivalent Intel chip Disadvantages: Heat
...Ok, so when most people hear that I built my own computer with an AMD processor, they think whats an
AMD, is it some cheap, slow, downmarket Intel? No.
Reasons for buying - Most AMD processors are bought by more computer knowledgeable people, as they can
make an AMD achieve what no pentium can do - overclocking. The other reasons why people buy the AMD's, is because of their speed, and low price.
Speed - AMD Processors are classified by their equivalent Intelprocessors, so an AMD XP1800+ can do tasks at the same speed as a 1800MHzIntelprocessor, and an AMD XP2200+ can do tasks at the same speed as a 2200MHzIntelPentium 4. Actual speeds of AMD's are different however to what their name suggests.
An XP1800+ runs at 1.533GHz, and an XP2200+ runs at only 1.8GHz. It is the quality and caching on AMD
boards however, that allow...

This is the last based core duo processor, used for the low end market. But this doesn't mean that the processor is weak. I personally use now it's brother E2160 that is a few faster. As a difference from their brothers, the E4000 and the E 6000 family... more
