design from the world's leading chip maker. The result of massive R and D effort involving thousands of engineers. An entire collection of revolutions shrunk into an unimaginably small space, consuming less energy, too. Two cores work together to share resources, and are designed to conserve power when their functions aren't required. Whether in an ultra-sleek MacBook or workstation class Mac Pro, Intel® Core technology lets you get more power with less power.
Advantages: Thin, not too heavy, reliable Disadvantages: Manufacturer support not great
...money) server which comes (or should come) with its own rack kit for putting into a server rack, power supply, server utility CDs and manuals and documentation, which, if you're like me and have been playing with server hardware for many years, you don't even consider reading.
PHYSICAL RACKING
The server is designed to fit into a standard server rack, and comes with two "rack arms" which are screwed onto the sides of the server, fitted into the rack, and then fastened into the rack. It's a fiddly job sometimes if you only have yourself doing the work, but it's essentially quite straightforward.
HARDWARE SPECIFICATIONS
The base hardware specifications were as follows:
256MB DDR2 SDRAM Memory (1x256MB 400MHz single rank DIMMs)
One Intel® Xeon™ processor at 2.8GHz with 2MB L2 cache
80GB 7,200rpm SATA hard drive
However with a few...

Advantages: ideal for intense computing environments Disadvantages: none
...Very good Speed and unbelieveable performance and The Dual-Core IntelXeonprocessor 5100 series is ideal for intense computing environments, 32-bit and 64-bit business-critical applications and high-end workstation and Analysis in my mind Dual-Core IntelXeonprocessor 5100 series-based platforms are expected to deliver up to 2.25 times the performance and 2.35 times the performance/watt of previous-generation dual-core IntelXeonprocessors and realiable performance and I always advice my friends, visiter and colike. In my view overall good performance Easily purchase. Good Manufacture support and overall we see performance, efficiency, design very valuable. Mostly people perfer and All this report in my survey and judge 80% people perfer this and I also recommend you please purchase....

Advantages: very fast, reliable Disadvantages: pricey, need to have IT knowledge
...This dual 2GHZ core processor with combined speed of 4Ghz and a 4Mb Cache makes a very fast pc and will cope easily with many demanding programs running at once. There are probably better deals for the same or better processors, but you are paying for the quality, many dont have a high 4Mb cache. This would be most recommend for IT technicians or people who know what they are doing.
The main let down of this is the variation in the price, while this may be good, you dont want to be paying too much when you can get a compute just as good for the same high price or cheaper. But as i said before, if you can get a good deal, and know what your talking about, this is most recommended...

Advantages: Cheap upgrade with great cache memory Disadvantages: not the fastest or best, most Core 2's are much better
...This is an okay machine that fails to ignite or excite you with its performance. I am still amazed that a quad-core can be only 1.86 GHz in memory. I mean so many good Core 2 Duos pack over 2 Gigs its a wonder you get this minnow.
The E5320 has good bus speed of 1066 MHz and large cache memory of 8mb, performing well when doing work-related activities. However if you are after an entertainment machine to watch movies, play games or download stuff this is not the machine for you. But then this is an upgrade and is meant to replace older, slower machines with a new infrastructure. It doesn't work for me, since its a low-end 64-bit operator, but if you need a cheap upgrade to new technology then this will be a good choice for you....

As a gamer, I needed the best processor out there. Searching around, the only real debate in this price range was whether to go for the E6850, a dual core CPU, or the Q6600, a quad core at a lower clock. After looking at many different benchmarks and... more
