Giggle Ball
Review of Activity Giggle Ball by

Advantages: Good value, fun, promotes developmental play
Disadvantages: A little heavy for small hands
...needs and immediately spotted the activity giggle ball as a toy which would not only be great fun but which had all the right elements to promote devlopmental play.
The ball has a number of tubes coming out of it at different angles. Thes tubes are suitable for teething or to encourage exploring with the mouth - a vital part of a child's development. Attached to some of the tubes are a number of beads/ balls of bright colours which can be easily ... ...movements. The ball rattles if lightly shaken to encourage further exploration of the toy and 2 handed play. It also makes a delightful giggling noise when shaken hard - although very young children often can't shake it hard enough to obtain this noise.
This is a toy which is stimulating in many ways: the bright colours/ appearnace of it, the feel of all the different parts and the amazing chuckling/ giggling noise. All in all it is extremely colourful ...

Review of Leap Frog Learn & Groove Activity Station by

Advantages: Keeps baby interested
Disadvantages: Needed to go a little higher.
I looked through the shop window many times trying to decide if this was a good purchase or not. Could I warrant spending the money and was it worth it. It was the best purchase I could of made for my son. It has kept him amused, he loves the sounds and the music, and he can be kept in one place when necessary. Now he is standing he uses the other side of it to pull ...

Beep beep!
Review of ELC Light and Sound Buggy Driver by
sam_k
Advantages: features are good
Disadvantages: fitting to buggy etc has limited adjustments
Once my son was in that pushchair part of the pram the activity arch he'd previously used didn't fit so I went on a mission to find something else to attach to the pushchair to keep him entertained.
I saw this in store and thought it looked good, colourful and noisy therefore very attractive to children! Once we'd both had a quick go in the shop I decided to purchase one. It has a moveable steering wheel which is easy for little hands to turn, with ... ...mirrors one on each side, a couple of small lights that flash when music activated, one lever that makes a different noise each for forwards and backwards, 2 buttons that play a couple of different tunes. The 'key' turns it on/off.
It fixes to the buggy with screw clamps which is where my negative point of the toy comes in, it only really allows for width adjustments and although the main part twists a bit forwards and back I can see that it could ...

Very disappointing
Review of Bruin Press 'n' Go Mother & Baby Giraffe by
Keelar
Advantages: Looks nice
Disadvantages: Hard to press down and doesn't work on carpets
I recently bought this for my daughter as we have a long laminate floor hallway and she loves sending her Dad's cars (yes her Dad's) up and down, so I thought this would be the ideal toy for her, as an alternative to the cars.
However, I was very disappointed. I suppose for ten quid you can't expect much but I did anticipate that with it being a child's toy, it would be easy to press down, but it isn't - unless my daughter is a wimp - and she really ... ...was not my intention, this was meant to keep her entertained while I cook tea, or do some other household task... On the product description it says 'press mum's head and baby giraffe will follow' but its not just a matter of pressing mum's head, you have to press her head down really hard so that her legs/wheels spread right out ready for it to shoot off.
Anyway, once you do get it pressed down, it is quite a slow moving toy and doesn't shoot off, ...

Fone-tastic!
Review of Bob the Builder Talk and Play Camera Phone by
mummy2harry
Advantages: Cheap, fun, pictures included, sounds
Disadvantages: American Bob!
...really taken a shine to Bob the Builder, and when my fiance saw this toy in Instore for a bargain price, we knew Harry would love it and decided to buy it for him as a little present! Needless to say Harry was rather thrilled when he tore it from its packaging...!
Mobile phone toys are very popular at the moment, even with young toddlers, and I think a lot of it is to do with imitation. Children watch their parents on their phones and think it would ... ...we knew he'd love calling Bob and Wendy on this one! The phone came in cardboard packaging (recyclable!), and had a battery already in it so you could try out the functions of the phone before you buy it.
The phone is a blue plastic phone, and its quite chunky so it's easy for young children to grab hold of easily. It has a flip-down panel at the front like on an older style mobile for the "microphone", and it is this panel which actually activates ...
