This is, as the name suggests, a CD-ROM based Atlas, which covers the whole of Great Britain and allows you to zoom in on particular parts of the country. The word “interactive” in the title is somewhat misleading as this is about the extent of your interaction. Zoom in, zoom out, zoom in again. The other superb interactive feature allows you to press an arrow at the side of the current map and you will move in that direction. Very slowly.
To begin with you view GB at a scale of 1:625 000 (1 inch equals 10 miles for the purists amongst us). You can zoom in stages down to 1:50 000 or 1:25 000 depending on the location you have chosen.
